GE 2025 Winter U.S. & U.K. Boarding School China Roadshow Recap | Shenzhen · Guangzhou · Xi’an · Beijing — 120+ Counselors Engaged, Moving Forward Together

After the successful conclusion of the 2025 California FAM Trip and the Los Angeles Convention, GE did not slow down. With boarding school admissions officers from the United States and the United Kingdom, we officially launched the 2025 Winter GE Boarding School China Roadshow.

From south to north, from first-tier cities to historic cultural capitals, this roadshow covered four cities: Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Xi‘an, and Beijing. Along the way, we received tremendous support and trust. Today, let‘s look back on this fulfilling and heartwarming journey, revisiting the highlights and memorable moments from each stop.

First Stop: Shenzhen

A familiar starting point, setting off once again

Shenzhen was chosen as the first stop of the China roadshow. Known for its fast pace, high efficiency, and open, inclusive atmosphere, Shenzhen once again proved to be an ideal starting point. On the day of the event, boarding school admissions officers from the U.S. and the U.K. met face to face with local counselors, students, and parents. The atmosphere was highly focused, professional, and efficient.

For many counselors, this was also a reunion with “old friends.” Numerous partners have worked closely with GE through multiple application seasons, building strong mutual understanding, trust, and ongoing communication.

At the Shenzhen stop, we not only shared the latest admissions updates from each school, but also presented photos and highlights from GE‘s recent FAM Trip and Convention.

Second Stop: Guangzhou

Deeper conversations, a smoother rhythm

After leaving Shenzhen, we quickly arrived at the second stop—Guangzhou.

Compared with Shenzhen‘s sharp efficiency, Guangzhou offered a more relaxed and unhurried atmosphere, while maintaining the same high level of professionalism. Counselor meetings and student interviews remained well-organized and productive. Admissions officers and counselors engaged in in-depth discussions on curriculum design, boarding management, student support systems, and the latest admissions information.

For school representatives, this face-to-face interaction was equally valuable. It was in Guangzhou that conversations clearly moved forward—from “getting to know the schools” to “how we can work together more effectively.” Everyone also enjoyed local Cantonese cuisine together, continuing conversations in a relaxed setting and bringing partnerships even closer.

Third Stop: Xi'an

Beyond Conversations, into History and Culture

The third stop, Xi‘an, was one of the most special and memorable cities on this roadshow.

In addition to counselor meetings and student interviews, we arranged a cultural experience for visiting school representatives. Outside the busy meeting schedule, everyone slowed down and immersed themselves in this city rich in history.

The Terracotta Warriors were a key highlight of the visit. For many school representatives, this was their first time in Xi‘an—and their first opportunity to experience the depth and scale of Chinese history up close.

Fourth Stop: Beijing

A perfect conclusion, grateful for every encounter

Beijing marked the final stop of the China roadshow.

As the closing city, Beijing once again delivered highly productive counselor meetings and student interviews. Admissions officers from across the United States and counselors engaged in open and direct discussions on the latest application trends, student-school fit, and future directions for collaboration.

Across all four cities, more than 120 partners from around China participated in our counselor meetings. We sincerely thank every counselor, school representative, and partner for your support and companionship along the way.

While the roadshow has come to a close, our conversations continue. We look forward to working hand in hand with all of you in the year ahead.
